Dune du Pilat: Europe's Tallest Sand Dune

The Dune du Pilat is just over an hour from Bordeaux by car and can easily be combined with Arcachon town, a boat cruise or lunch at one of the bay’s famous oyster villages.
Many visitors choose to spend the morning exploring Arcachon before climbing the dune in the afternoon, finishing the day with fresh seafood overlooking the water.
